  • Contributed to evening newscasts by gathering video, interviews, and information from general and breaking news scenes and often assembled this video into stories that aired
  • Brought viewers live video from breaking news
  • Enhanced station's social media presence by tweeting with #Q13FOX hashtag from general assignment stories and breaking news events
  • Participated in morning newscasts by shooting overnight news
  • In June 2021, I, as well as several other members of our newsroom team, won an Emmy for our coverage of the May 30, 2020 riots in downtown Seattle.

KJRH Television - Tulsa, OK

Photojournalist • March 2015 - April 2017

  • Was an integral part of both morning and night newscasts by setting up and running remote live shots with reporters
  • Worked with reporters to gather, shoot, write, and edit news stories for prime-time newscast
  • Brought Tulsans breaking news via social media both with my own account (@edubyphotog) and the station's account
  • Gathered information from police dispatch, police officers, and bystanders to deliver accurate news from overnight scenes

  • Contributed to the morning newscasts by - without direction or supervision - gathering breaking news video, interviews, and information.
  • Further assisted the morning news team by running microwave live shots and live shots using bonded cellular technology.
  • Furthered the stations social media goals by tweeting information about news scenes.
  • Helped sales and creative services by occasionally running camera and audio for sponsored remotes.

KOKI Television - Tulsa, OK

Photojournalist, Senior Video Editor • April 2007 - August 2013

  • Used my skills to shoot and edit stories on my own and with reporters that aired in newscasts during all dayparts.
  • Impacted those newscasts further by setting up and shooting remote live shots from all manner of locations.
  • Was twice awarded 'Star Performer' awards and once 'Employee of the Month' for dedication I gave to my work.
  • As a video editor I worked to mentor and train other video editors and photojournalists; created a handbook to educate as well as entertain regarding editing SOP.
